Ohio MTB Racing : 2010 MTB World Cup returns to U.S., close to home
World Cup mountain bike racing returns to the United States in August, 2010 in Windham, New York. The event will be complete with cross-country, downhill and four-cross. Since it's within driving distance of Cleveland, you might want to consider making the trip! It's a great opportunity to see racing at a level most of us can barely even imagine. Read more here.
Ohio MTB Racing : This year's Mohican 100 "most competitive 100 miler ever"
Race number two of the NUE visited the tranquil rolling hills of Ohio this weekend with over 400 riders filling up the main street of the small town of Loudonville. In the swollen streets, riders had come from across the country to create what was arguably the most competitive men's 100 miler to date. Though the Leadville 100 might be the numbers king, the depth of the talent at this Mohican race was more akin to watching a European Spring Classic with its assortment of favorites, contenders and dark horses. Unlike any other 100 miler to date, six men made it to the final six miles as a group, where the last bit of singletrack determined the final placing of the day. Read the full story.
