Want to help maintain our trails? Could not make it to one of our trail days? We’ve got the answer!

For all the folks who have trouble making our trail days, don't worry.....because you can always do your part to help CAMBA by contributing to trail maintenance on your own time, according to your schedule. Plus, with the vast expanse of trails we have now (at 5 different parks!), we really need all the help we can get when it comes to seasonal maintenance stuff.

Aside from regular trimming of foliage and general clearing of branches and small logs (that anyone can help with), we'll start listing any small projects that are currently open at CAMBA-maintained trails. The purpose of this list is to give anyone who might have a hard time making a CAMBA trail building day an opportunity to help out with trail work. Anyone can volunteer for any task; all we ask is that you follow these guidelines:

1. Do not use powered cutting tools (e.g. chain saws, metal brush-trimmers, etc.). Please respect this. CAMBA has only had a few small injuries during trail activities and we’d like to keep it that way.
2. Usage of leaf blowers or nylon line trimmers is fine, but you must wear eye protection (sunglasses work fine).
3. No unauthorized trail building or construction; No projects (e.g. reroutes, armoring, etc.) should be undertaken that are not on this list. If you want to suggest something, please run it by us first. Send an email to trails@camba.us.
4. Got an idea for a small task that needs to be added to this list? Send it to trails@camba.us.
5. Please keep us informed if you'd like to help out and which task you’re going to tackle.......just send an email to trails@camba.us.

Think about it...

Rule of the Trail #2: Leave No Trace.  Practice low-impact cycling. Wet and muddy trails are more vulnerable to damage. When the trailbed is soft, consider other riding options. Stay on existing trails and don't create new ones.
